AFAM 525 Chain & Steel Sprocket Kit, 16/42 — 01089412
Price is for the complete kit
AFAM chain and sprocket kit, part number 01089412: an AFAM XS-ring Hyper Reinforced 525 chain (gold) with 116 links, a 16-tooth steel front sprocket and a 42-tooth steel rear sprocket. Chain and both sprockets come together, so they wear in as a set.
AFAM says its front and steel rear sprockets are made from C45 steel with induction-hardened teeth.
Where the table below says 525 conversion, this kit changes the bike from its standard chain size to 525 pitch. That is why the chain and both sprockets are replaced together — do not mix them with your old parts.
Check the tooth counts against your current sprockets before you order: a different count changes the gearing. Not sure? Email us with your bike and we will check it for you.
